At just 1.59 kg (3.74 lb), the Laowa 200mm f/2 is a lightweight powerhouse. Most lenses in this class weigh ~1.8 kg to 3 kg, making long shoots tiring and cumbersome. Short Focusing Distance

The closest focusing distance is 4.92 ft (150 cm), which is the shortest among lenses with similar specifications from other brands. A shorter focusing distance allows you to move closer to your subject, making it easier to capture small objects or fine details with clarity. It also enhances background blur, helping your subject stand out with stronger separation and smoother bokeh. This flexibility makes the lens more versatile for both creative close-ups and mid-range compositions.

The lens is designed to minimize chromatic aberration, ensuring sharp edges, accurate colors, and clean image quality even in high-contrast scenes.
43mm Rear Filter Holder
The built-in 43mm rear filter holder offers photographers a practical and cost-effective solution for using ND and other creative filters. As a compact alternative to bulky 105mm front filters, it delivers the same professional-grade results while reducing both weight and expense—streamlining your workflow and enhancing flexibility on the go.
Note: This feature is only available on Sony E and Nikon Z mount lenses. The filter thickness must be less than 1.5mm.
FN Buttons
The FN button allows you to assign a frequently used function for quick access, such as ISO, white balance, autofocus mode, or drive mode.
Full / 5m–∞ Focus Range
The Full setting allows the lens to use the entire focusing range, while the 5m–∞ setting limits autofocus to subjects that are at least 5 meters away. Limiting the focus range in this way can speed up autofocus, making it easier to track distant subjects quickly and accurately.
Focus Mode Switch
Seamlessly toggle between Auto Focus (AF) and Manual Focus (MF) to match your shooting style and creative intent.
Adjustable
Lens Support
Loosen the knob to adjust the position of the lens support, making it easier to change the orientation of your camera while maintaining stability.
Built-in Lens Support with Arca-Swiss Compatibility
The lens includes a dedicated support bracket that easily attaches to tripods using the Arca-Swiss mounting system.
EF-RF Adapters for Autofocus
Some EF to RF adapters on the maket enables EF lenses to function with autofocus on Canon RF camera systems. These adapters offer added versatility for photographers looking to expand their gear across platforms while continuing to use their trusted EF lenses.

Disclaimer:
The Laowa 200mm f/2 AF FF may not support the 15 fps shooting limit on Sony cameras when using continuous autofocus (AF-C) on Sony Alpha mirrorless models.
The rear filter on Sony E and Nikon Z mounts is an integral part of the lens structure. Removing it may affect optical performance. Please keep the clear glass in place or replace it with a filter to maintain the best image quality.
